Night Injection — Windows Companion Tool

Download and use Night Injection on Windows to import Lua, manifest and ZIP files, or connect it with Night Lua and Nght-Bridge.

Overview

Night Injection is a Windows companion application that helps you import and manage compatible Lua, manifest and ZIP files.

Night Injection is open-source under the MIT License.

Windows 10 build 19041 or later, or Windows 11 (64-bit x64), Steam and an internet connection.

Download Night Injection Setup from the official GitHub Releases page.

The desktop Steam workflow requires Steam Fix. Millennium is only needed for Nght-Bridge.

Use Setup for website and Steam integrations. A portable download supports manual imports; extract it completely and keep its files together.

Optional: compare the download’s checksum with SHA256.txt on the same release page.

Open the Inject page.
Drag supported files into the app or select Browse files.
Select Preview plan to inspect each destination, or use Dry Run to validate without writing.
Check AppIDs, source files and replacements.
Select Inject selected files and review the confirmation before committing changes.

Imports can replace Steam configuration files. Use Preview plan or Dry Run to check changes before applying them.

The Library lists managed AppIDs; History records operations; Logs supports local troubleshooting. Share only redacted diagnostics in public issues.

Select Generate Files and wait for Generation Complete. If generation fails, check the AppID and the displayed error before trying again.
After generation, select Open in Night Injection, allow your browser to open the app, then review the files and confirm the import there.

If the app does not open, install or repair it using Setup. You can also download the ZIP and import it with Browse files.

Check the official release notes for compatible versions. Install the companion and its Steam integration together using Setup.

Close Night Injection, install the complete compatible Setup release, and restart Steam after updating its integration.

Check the system requirements and reinstall using the latest compatible Setup.

Select the folder containing steam.exe in Settings. Confirm that it is your intended Steam installation and that planned paths are correct.

If the app does not open, install or repair it using Setup. You can also download the ZIP and import it with Browse files.

Delete the incomplete download and generate a new ZIP. If it still fails, report the displayed error.

Follow the game-specific External Files notice. Companion and bridge application does not install these extra downloads.
